Powered by Meta’s New Muse Spark AI

The biggest highlight of the Meta Glasses is the integration of Muse Spark AI, a multimodal AI model developed by Meta Superintelligence Labs.

Unlike traditional voice assistants, Muse Spark AI can understand both voice commands and visual context. Users can ask questions about objects they are looking at, receive recommendations, manage schedules, retrieve information, and interact with digital services without touching their phone.

A dedicated hardware button lets users instantly activate Meta AI or trigger customized actions.

Enhanced Audio and Voice Capture

For audio experiences, Meta has equipped the glasses with discreet open-ear speakers that automatically adjust volume levels based on the surrounding environment.

The device also includes a sophisticated six-microphone array featuring:

  • Two microphones on the nose pads
  • Two microphones on the temple arms
  • Two microphones on the front frame

Combined with wind-noise reduction technology, the system is designed to deliver clearer voice capture during calls, recordings, and AI interactions.

12-Megapixel Camera With Advanced Recording Features

Meta Glasses feature a 12-megapixel camera with a wide 100-degree field of view, allowing users to capture moments from their perspective.

The camera supports:

  • Photos up to 3024 × 4032 resolution
  • Video recording up to 3K at 30fps
  • 1080p recording at 60fps
  • 720p recording at 120fps
  • Slow-motion video capture
  • Hyperlapse recording

Meta has also introduced a new Dynamic Photo feature that automatically captures multiple frames and suggests the best shot.

Live Translation Across 20 Languages

Real-time language translation is another major feature of the new smart glasses.

Meta Glasses currently support live translation in 20 languages, including:

  • Hindi
  • English
  • Spanish
  • French
  • German
  • Arabic
  • Japanese
  • Korean
  • Mandarin Chinese
  • Portuguese

The company plans to expand support to an additional 14 languages through future software updates.

Connectivity and Battery Life

The smart glasses come equipped with modern connectivity technologies, including:

  • Wi-Fi 6
  • Tri-band 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz support
  • Bluetooth 5.4
  • Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)
  • Support for Meta Neural Band accessories

Meta claims the wearable can deliver more than eight hours of battery life on a single charge.

The included charging case extends usage by providing up to 40 additional hours of battery backup.

Storage and Future Features

The Meta Glasses include 32GB of onboard storage, capable of storing approximately:

  • 1,000 photos
  • More than 100 videos of up to 30 seconds each
